I was actually pleasantly surprised to be reminded, upon revisiting this piece from fully 20 years ago... yes these are crazy times right now, but you know what? There was plenty of bat shit flying around back then as well! Homeland Security advising people to buy duct tape and plastic sheeting to keep themselves safe in the event of biological warfare. Excellent! While George Bush said the government was taking "unprecedented measures to protect the American people." "We're trying to protect you. We're doing everything in our power to make sure the homeland is secure." (NY Times)
