It's 8:30 in the morning here and already, in your writing, I have been around the whole world with you. My mind and heart are full. Your life is poetry and dance and dedication to getting this life right. I don't wish it to happen any time soon, but your mum's idea of vaporizing and this writing of yours have combined to remind me of the joy in getting our goodbyes right--or as right as we can make them. The fullness of time and space is a gift to be shared in light--thank you for all you do. Now go tell Mart you have more feathers to add--very carefully--to your collection.

Happy 60th Birthday Matthew. I loved the between and around and among and within in this post. You are your mother's beautiful son.

What a gorgeous reaction, dear Alana. Thank you. Having met neither of your parents, all I can hope is that they're looking down on you with pride, for all the extraordinary things you're achieving these days. xxx

Oh Matt. This is beautiful and so true. Death and grieving surround us all but mostly we either brush it off or collapse. I love it that you have turned 60 and that we got to see you on your recent visit and I certainly hope it wasn't the last time. If it was, then it's my life that has been strengthened by our friendship and in more recent years, your generous and thought filled writing.

Thank you, as always, and keep singing up those rainbows please! Re: "Death and grieving surround us all but mostly we either brush it off or collapse," - I've just listened to a wonderful Sarah Wilson with Frank Ostaseski podcast on pretty much exactly this topic, and the power that is to be found in acknowledging that in fact, death is right beside us, always. Don't mean it's gonna happen. Also don't mean dat it AIN'T gonna happen! Love you.

Dear Matthew -- your every post is JIT. Just In Time. At the outset, may I say simply, 'Energetic Spaces' is beautifully written. It is JIT for me as last night, having put off as long as I could, I opened a very big box sent to me by my now widowed sister-in-law. The box was filled w/ childhood memorabilia my recently deceased brother had cherished over the last 70 years of his life. Therein, pictures of the younger him, the younger me and all us young siblings, often trying to kill one another, but truly loving one another unto death. Only two of us left now and we are well aware of where we are headed and how much time may be left to get there.

And so --- Just this, and Just in Time. Thank you dear friend, and well done you.

Many thanks Karen, I'm so pleased the timing was right for you with this post - as indeed it has apparently been on other posts as well... And I wish you all the best as you delve through that big box - because I bet you will find laughter in there as well, most probably hand in hand with the pain of loss.

And thank you for your support here at Bright Side.
